you have when steam cleaning your carpets
Carpet cleaning,
like carpet manufacturing, has evolved.
Most manufacturers recommend steam cleaning modern carpets. However, you
should only use the steam cleaning method after making sure that the
carpet fibers will not be damaged by steam. A fragile carpet may be
damaged by steam cleaning, but for most types of carpets, steam cleaning
is considered a very effective method.
Steam cleaning uses a simple scientific process for deep cleaning
carpets. This process draws the dirt from the carpet to the surface and
removes it before it has a chance to stain the carpet. To steam clean a
carpet, you must use a liquid-based cleaning agent that is vaporized, or
turned into steam, by a steam cleaning machine, which is also called a
carpet extractor or steam vacuum cleaner.
It’s always a good idea for health and the environment to choose a mild
solution for steam cleaning. It will be safe for the carpet as well as
the people using it. The steam cleaning machine or extractor should be
self-contained and have a built-in vacuum cleaner. Alternatively, you
can use the extractor first and then a vacuum cleaner.
After selecting a cleaning solution, you should follow the instructions
in the user's manual and move the extractor over the carpet, being sure
to cover all areas of the surface. The extractor injects the cleaning
solution, in the form of steam, into the carpet and draws the dirt to
the surface. It only takes a few minutes to complete this process. The
extractor removes the dirt with the cleaning solution using air at a
very high pressure. After extraction, you should vacuum the carpet to
ensure complete removal of the dirt.
Steam cleaning your carpet, which is also referred to as extraction, is
very effective at deep cleaning. It not only cleans the surface of the
carpet, but also cleans the carpet base and fibers deep down. Depending
on your budget and requirements, choose extractors with motors with the
right amount of power. Also choose the accessories, like brushes and
cords, that will be most helpful for your needs.
